Parisot is a pretty small village in the north-east of the Tarn-et-Garonne department in an attractive position looking out over the gently rolling countryside.

France This Way review: Parisot is a small village that doesn't take long to explore but the buildings are nicely maintained and restored, and several have historic interest, so a visit is recommended when you are in the area.
The historic centre of Parisot still retains parts of its fortified defences, including a stone entrance called the Porte Genebrière and one of the original towers in the walls.
At the centre of Parisot is the village church, and just opposite you will notice a lovely colombage house. The church of Saint Andeol was built in the 14th century and replaced the original church which was outside of the main village on the Villefranche-de-Rouergue to Caussade road.
Also in the village you will see an attractive small chateau. It is private property and not open to visits but nonetheless adds to the charm of the village.
Another feature of interest is the stone columned market hall which is on the edge of the village with views out over the Tarn-et-Garonne countryside that dates back to the 14th century.
From the highest part of the village you have a very far-reaching view, with the Parisot Lake in the foreground.
There is another chateau about one kilometre south-east of the village, the Chateau de Labro. This chateau is private as well but is opened periodically in summer. Check with the tourist office in the nearby village of Caylus for forthcoming exhibitions.
Another imposing chateau near Parisot is the Chateau de Cornusson built in the 14th century. This too is private but can be seen dominating the Valley of the Seye.
Places to Visit Nearby
The lovely town of St-Antonin-Noble-Val is nearby. St-Antonin-Noble-Val is one of the highlights of this part of the Tarn-et-Garonne and definitely not to be missed. Sit out in the main square for a coffee whilst admiring the beautiful museum on the edge of the square. This is the oldest civil building in the whole of France.
The little village of Caylus just a few kilometers away is worth a visit to admire the excellent contemporary statue of Christ carved by Ossip Zadkine.
The "most beautiful village" of Najac with its lovely medieval houses and stunning hill-top position is just 11km away.
