The Parc Floral de Paris is a large botanical park in the south-east of Paris in the 12th arrondissement. It is located within the Bois de Vincennes park and is one of the four botanical gardens of Paris.

France This Way review: The Parc Floral de Paris is a lovely park with a lake at its centre and lots of paths leading through areas planted with different plant collections. It is a pleasure to visit and very peaceful away from the centre of Paris.
The Parc Floral de Paris covers thirty-six hectares and is the fourth largest park in Paris after the Bois de Boulogne, the Bois de Vincennes as a whole and the Parc de la Villette.
The parc was created as a permanent exhibition space for various botanical shows that take place in Paris.
In 1969 the Paris city architect was given the project and the park is now home to a beautifully designed park with a lake surrounded by a 'valley of flowers', walks through woods, flower beds, children's play areas and patios and exhibition spaces.
At the heart of the garden is the lake which is home to both sculptures and water lilies. Around the lake a 'valley of flowers' has been created.
These flower beds are home to large beds of regional plants and are full of colour . The lake is also home to a number of large sculptures and more can be found throughout the park.
On one side of the lake are a series of pavilions and exhibition spaces. These have a Japanese-themed style and were influenced by the Tokyo Olympic Games of 1964, just a few years before the conception of the park.
These pavilions house collections of bonsai, botanical irises, Mediterranean plants and others and are particularly pleasant to explore when the sun isn't shining.
The gardens are also home to a number of plant collections including peonies, astilbes, geraniums, pelargoniums and ferns.
There is also an area dedicated to dahlias which is very colourful and a treat for dahlia lovers to be able to admire lots of different varieties.
As well as being a beautiful park full of plants, shrubs and trees the Parc Floral de Paris is the largest playground in Paris
For children and families there are play areas for younger children plus you can hire quadricycles for up to five people or up to eight people to have a family ride through the park.
A treetop adventure area has four different courses and there is also minigolf and an escape room. Seven ping pong tables are also available in the park.
There are exhibition areas that professionals can hire and also an area for up and coming artists to exhibit their works which is free to the public.

The address of the park is: Parc Floral de Paris, Route de la Pyramide, 75012 Paris. The nearest tube is by the Chateau de Vincennes.
The park is open every day from 09.30 until 17.30 in winter and open longer the rest of the year. In summer it stays open until 20.00 in the evening.
There is a small admission fee from the 1 April to 30 September but it is free to under 7s.
There are lots of picnic tables in the park and also two cafes with terraces. There is also a shop selling some snacks and drinks.

The Parc Floral de Paris is part of the Bois de Vincennes, the largest park in Paris. Also to see in the Bois de Vincennes are more woods and walks through the park, an arboretum, a hippodrome and an English-style landscaped garden.
The next largest park is the Bois de Boulogne on the western edge of Paris. One of our favourite parks is the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont in the north-east of Paris.
The other three gardens that make up the botanical garden of Paris are the Parc de Bagatelle, the Jardin des Serres d'Auteuil and the Arboretum of Paris.
