Planning a romantic marriage proposal? A declaration of amour, French style? A super-duper romantic wedding anniversary? I’ve found just the thing for you!
How about an exclusive romantic dinner and fireworks in a French chateau? Or perhaps you would like your marriage proposal projected onto the Eiffel Tower? Maybe a horse drawn carriage through a romantic forest, or a canal trip through 1930′s Paris?
I know, this is all a bit soppy, trying to win a ladies (or lads) heart with champagne and romance. Nice though.
And if you are a lady trying to impress a lad who is about as romantic as a football, what can you do? How about an evening being pursued around Paris by paparazzi? Or inside the Stade de France?
I came across a company that can organise all these events for you, and many more, so you really can have the most romantic moment possible for your wedding proposal. If you are planning to propose any time soon take a look at the romantic options (all based around Paris) that are available HERE.
Myself, I’ve been happily married for what seems like an eternity so I can keep my cash in my pocket. Or rather pour it into my children’s pockets as they rush to the January sales.
But all those years ago, if I had had a heart rather than an overdraft, I would have liked to propose in one of these super-duper romantic ways. Romantic meals in hidden castles, candlelit messages appearing in the night…makes me go all bleary eyed just thinking about it.
Strictly speaking these events wuld be great for all kinds of special romantic occasions, not just wedding proposals, but I’ll keep that fact to myself, can’t have Mrs B thinking I’m planning something exotic and getting all over-excited.
If your budget doesn’t run to such excesses, or you are too mean and don’t think she (or he) is worth all that expense I’d better suggest a cheaper option – you could buy a rose and head with your girlfriend for Montmartre – the unchanged village within Paris – and propose at the Basilica of the Sacré Coeur.
But you had better be sure they haven’t read this blog entry first, because if they have they will know that you have chosen the cheap-skate option instead of the romantic option for your wedding proposal!
One last warning – if you are both romantics at heart, be sure that you haven’t both booked one of these super romantic trips for the same night, or things could just start to get a bit complicated!
