My husband oh so sympathises with you at the moment.

I have been away for the last 2.5 weeks during which he has been coping with our two daughters - spectacles and multitudes of 'end of lycée' parties (two on the same evening once!).

Second performance of the spectacle, and a neighbour kindly offers to take the younger one. Big sigh of relief until the phone rings. She has forgotten one (yes only one) ballet points shoe and she goes on stage in 20 minutes!

He drives like a maniac and makes the 25 minute journey in 16.

Finally gets home again and finds she had left a voicemail for him saying could he hurry because he seemed to be taking too long!!

Words like you have never heard before......you heard in our house that night!!

Girls always seem nicer from what i observed - my husband promised me one but didn't keep his promise :) I am trying to stay positive and find the good in situations that negative is easier to spot :)

Well at least they are old enough to go and swim in the pool without me needing to watch them anymore, I should be grateful for small things - although they do insist I have spent half an hour making the pool spotless before they will get in.
Boys easier? I don't know. Younger boys always looked difficult to me, always fighting and making too much noise...

I feel your pain. I have two boys and it's hard enough. Having two girls would be my worst nightmare!

I understand you 100% - sometimes I feel like I'm nothing but my kid's personal driver. They are still little and I can control the distance they travel for play dates. It is hot here now - so I just walk them to the closest pool and let them dissolve into water :)
