<description>It used to be the case that the local pompiers had the right to search and destroy a nest of hornets on one&#039;s property. (frelons?) This happened to us one summer when we didn&#039;t live here full-time - we found that the pompiers had visited, removed stones from underneath the roof tiles, cleared out a nest, and left the site, having of course not made good the damage they had made. The hole in the wall got worse with the weather over the years, until we had to pay for it to be fixed by a macon. This left me with 2 thoughts festering - who blew the whistle on us - must have been our neighbours - and why do I now cheerfully buy the annual pompiers&#039; calendar after they have cost me so much in house repairs. I understand that this law has now changed and that the pompiers no longer have this right. Anyone else had this experience?
