The leaders of Europe are to meet to discuss ways to deal with the financial crisis. Socialist leaders in Britain have cut taxes, much to the distress of the conservatives; right-wing leaders in France are to support thousands of state-funded employees and perhaps bail out the car industry. What a topsy-turvy world we live in.
But the problems faced at the moment are nothing new, as this video – discovered carefully packed in a box with the Hitler Diaries – shows.
OK so it is new, and one of lots of videos that have been made recently with subtitles added to the action from the film Downfall. A good film by the way, as long as you aren’t looking for a feel-good movie. Actually I just remembered our copy is in one of the gites, I wonder what holidaymakers think of it!
