If you are intending to Visit France during the winter, the most usual options to choose are:
- ski holidays, often in the Alps, although the Pyrenees and Massif Central also offer skiing (see options above)
- city breaks - Paris is of course the most popular destination, although many other citise have much to offer - see City Breaks in France
- Corsica and Provence are often mild and pleasant even in the heart of winter, although many attractions and restaurants may have limited opening hours
The other popular countrside destinations, eg Brittany, Normandy and Dordogne are probably best visited outside the heart of winter, although a cottage in the countryside for Christmas can make a very pleasant change, and often at very reasonable prices - browse the French gites
