Port Cros National Park
Port Cros National Park is established on the Mediterranean island of Port-Cros, east of Toulon.
Pont Cros is a small island of hills, small mountains, and an abundance of flora and fauna, reached by ferry from the Giens peninsula on the Cote d'Azur.
There are no towns or villages on the island, so you can focus on walking the designated paths and enjoying the environment. And there is much to enjoy - there are a couple of paths that cross the island, or a path that leads around the edge. Both are very attractive, with an abundance of birds and plants to be seen.
The nearby island of Porquerolles is also worth exploring, and has a sizeable town.
