Cap Esterel is on the Cote d'Azur east of Saint Raphael (between Cannes and Frejus).
In an attractive location on the edge of the renowned mountail / wildlife region of the 'massif de l'Esterel' and overlooking the Mediterranean, Cap Esterel is unusual among the places listed on this France website - it is a holiday village designed and implemented by Pierre & Vacances, and so has no 'inherent historical interest'.
What it does have is a fine location and easy access to many of the highlights of the Cote d'Azur.
Close to Saint-Raphael and Frejus to the west and Cannes to the east Cap Esterel is said to be the largest purpose-built holiday village in France.
The village is pedestrianised, next to the beach, and has all the facilities - day and night that you would expect of such a village.
