Note in particular the photo of two farmers using an ancient harvester - apparently it was a beautiful day and the demonstration passed without a problem!
The old tower which dominates the village of Châtonnay is called the 'Tour du Calvaire'. In reality it should be caled the 'Tour de l'Horloge' (clocktower), the clock having been installed so that the farmers could see what time it was.
The cycling photo was taken when the Tour de France passed through Chatonnay in 2009
The small lake shown is the étang Moule, à Châtonnay, it belongs to the commune (not private property) as with the other lakes in Chatonnay
