Abri of Laugerie-Haute is a National Monument of France.
Description
One of the largest prehistoric sites from the Upper Palaeolithic period. Archaeological explorations have unearthed traces of art and artefacts from the Aurignacian, Perigordian, Solutrean and Magdalenian periods in stratigraphic layers, including more than 15 millennia of human occupation. Deposits of the Vézère valley designated world heritage site by UNESCO.
