Learn French Really Fast

Not only is French one of the most beautiful and pleasant sounding languages in the world, it is also the major foreign language that is most often taught in the world after English and before Chinese. French is also one of the official languages for international bodies such as UNESCO, the United Nations as well as the International Red Cross.

With all these reasons, it is clear why learning how to speak and write French can be one of the most important things to do in your life! But how fast can you learn French, really?

Many view it as a complicated language, one that would take months and months of endless translations and lessons to learn. The common misconception is that endurance is needed in order to learn French really fast. As a matter of fact, what's needed is a little spoonful of patience. You need to realize that Rome was not built in a day and neither can you master French like a pro if you do not have the patience to learn. Don’t be afraid to start at the lowest rung of the ladder.

It is vital to first learn some phrases just to survive in France, should you find yourself there for business or a holiday. There are basically three different words or phrases used to say hello. In the morning, “Bonjour” is used whereas “Bonsoir” is said after sun down. With close friends and acquaintances, you can use the word “Salut!” For goodbyes, “Au revoir” is used, while at the end of a weekend, you can say “Bon week end!” which simply means “Have a good weekend!”

Other polite phrases that you can utilize include “Merci” (“Thank you”), “Je vous en prie” (“You're welcome, don't mention it”) and “Tout le plaisir est pour moi” which means “Don't mention it.”
