Important Notes

Note 1: If a region of the map is crowded you will need to zoom in (use the big control on the map) to distinguish individual communes - there are often many more pictures available than you can see 'at a glance'. at the map as a whole.

Note 2: Don't judge a place by one photo! Often I will use a photo that shows the landscape, or an interesting derelict building, or perhaps photograph the only nice building in an unattractive village (!) so you can't conclude much about a place from one photo. Look at lots of pictures in the surrounding region to get a 'feel' for the area, and visit the individual pages for places on the site for more details of what to expect.
